According to research, for many people, OCD starts during childhood or the teen years. “Most people are diagnosed by about age 19. Symptoms of OCD may come and go and be better or worse at different times.”

However, there is a difference between OCD and being a perfectionist. Educate yourself on the signs. If you feel that you are suffering from OCD, it may be wise to seek professional help. OCD can be treated with cognitive behavioral therapy and medication.
