Don’t ruin all of the progress you have made and let yourself fall off track this winter. Staying in shape during the cooler months is just as important. If you stop exercising now, you will only make it more difficult to start with your fitness routine again, come the warmer months.

Losing 10 pounds this winter is actually much easier than it sounds. Since we already know that losing your gut in 10 days is achievable, it is possible to imagine losing 10 pounds in about three months.

Kristin Kirkpatrick, Lose It! advisor and nutrition expert, says that nutrition is extremely important when it comes to losing weight. She explains that you should increase your fiber intake because “it is more difficult for your body to break down fiber, keeping you fuller for longer,” and it would be wise to skip fat-free foods. “To make something fat free, the manufacturer must replace fat with sugar,” Kirkpatrick adds. “More sugar means more calories.”

Get enough sleep, eat healthy high-fat foods, stop drinking your calories, and make sure that you keep track of what you’re eating.
