“Practicing Pilates is a great way to help build strength and stamina for all of your endurance activities. If you’re just starting out, try this basic move, Short Plank Kneeling, to complement your next workout. It targets your core to stabilize the shoulders and the torso. Start by kneeling on all fours with your hands under the shoulders and knees under the hips. Inhale to prepare and engage abs, then exhale and lift your knees about an inch off the mat. Inhale to stay and hold the position for 5 counts—make sure to keep your tummy tight! Exhale and lower knees down to the mat. Repeat 5 to 10 times before your next workout to help build overall strength and endurance.”
