Many people count calories or macros in order to get a better understanding of their food consumption throughout the day. But while you're keeping track, it’s almost always a safe bet to add another 10% on top of what you have counted for things you may have missed!
Throughout the day, you are trying incredibly hard to track your calories/macros but you are bound to miss things. For instance, maybe it was the piece of chocolate right after lunch or that beverage you drank. Unless you are incredibly thorough, if you are really trying to stay true to your numbers then adding 10% will have you closer to your real amount consumed!
