3 Equipment-Free Cardio Workouts You Can do Anywhere

What's the first thing that pops into your head when you hear the word cardio?

A run around your neighborhood? The treadmill? Spin class? Maybe an elliptical workout?

Sure, these are all forms of cardio (or aerobic exercise), but maybe you never realized that there are lots of other ways to get a cardio workout in, and they don't require any equipment or the need to even leave your own home!

So, next time it's too cold out for a run or, for whatever reason, getting to the gym is out of the question, try one of these no-equipment-needed, heart-raising cardio workouts instead.

1. Lower Body Ladder

Repeat 3 times with one minute of rest between each round:

10 Lunge Jumps
15 Squat Jumps
30 High Knees
50 Jumping Jacks
Rest 15 seconds
50 Jumping Jacks
30 High Knees
15 Squat Jumps
10 Lunge Jumps

2. Burpee Challenge

Repeat 3 times with one minute of rest between each round:

5 Burpees
30-second plank-hold
10 seconds mountain climbers

Rest 15 seconds

60-second plank-hold
20 seconds mountain climbers

Rest 15 seconds

20 Burpees
90-second plank hold
30 seconds mountain climbers

3. Jump Rope Circuit

Do each exercise for one minute; repeat circuit three times with one minute of rest between each round:
