The 2015 Tour de France Route Revealed and It Doesn't Start in France

The route and stages of 2015 Tour de France are announced

The 102nd Tour de France has been scheduled to start in Utrecht, Netherlands for July 4th, 2015. This will be the 21st time the race has begun outside of France, and the 6th time it starts in the Netherlands.  

The race is a Tour for the climbers with just 42 km of time trials but five mountain finishes and seven mountain stages. After the first stage of a flat 13.7 km individual trial in Utrecht, it will move into Belgium and by the end of stage 4 make it’s way into France. The next 22 days will be a mix of a few flat and numerous mountain stages.

Some distinctive aspects of the race announced included the two final climbs up the Mur de Huy where stage 3 will end. Also, at the finish of stage 8 a climb up the Côte de Mûr de Bretagne.
