Watch: A Skier's Journey, Japan

Short film highlights the beauty—and epic powder—in Japan

The first episode of the third season of A Skier's Journey dropped earlier this week, shining a spotlight on snow in Japan. The web series as a whole is the brainchild of Canadian ski photographer Jordan Manley and, as we mentioned during our post about season 3's trailer, is very much not ski porn. Instead, it's a journey through the artistic side of powder—featuring not only the epic shredding in Japan's untouched countryside, but also the cultural and the emotional   revelations that can be uncovered in a new location. And it's definitely worth a watch—or three.
