In preparation for the world’s largest snowball fight, 162,000 pounds of snow was dumped on the lawn in front of the EMP Museum in Seattle on Saturday.
The spectacle was sponsored by REI and included a snow fort building contest and a Guinness-world-record-breaking snowball battle. More than 6,000 people participated, beating out the previous record of 5,387 people set in the Republic of Korea.
