Exercise Anywhere: 7-Minute Cardio Warm-Up

Get ready to workout with this energetic warm-up routine

A great warm-up is actually one of the most important parts of your workout. It will not only allow you to get more out of less time, but will amp up your burn factor and decrease your chances of injury.

The goal with a quality warm-up is to get your heart rate up, to break a sweat, and to literally get warm! Often, the toughest part of a workout is simply getting started – so rather than thinking about it too much, just follow me through this awesome cardio warm up.

Recommended Equipment:
All you need is your body and stopwatch or Interval Timer. I use a Gymboss timer, get yours HERE!

What To Do:
Perform each exercise for 30 seconds. The entire warm up is 7 minutes long. Check out my intro video below for step-by-step instructions.

The Exercises:
1. Wide Legs Roll Ups

2. Standing Cat and Cow

3. Side Reach

4. Elbow to Knee Reaches

5. Front Kicks Jane Fonda- style

6.Same thing but elbow to opposite knee

7. Side leg kicks left

8. Plié Squat Pulses (tuck tailbone in)

9. Side kick Right

10. Jump Rope

11. Downhill Skier on moguls

12. Around the World Kicks – left then right

13. Jump forward two jumps back

14. Jack it Out
