You’re energized but all of a sudden, halfway through your workout, exhaustion comes over you.

According to Active, “overtraining, stress, or many other external factors can cause fatigue, but many cases of fatigue are attributable to a lack of iron in the blood, a condition known as anemia.”

Exhaustion can be a result of health problems, overtraining, illness and even depression. Other contributing factors include certain medications such as antidepressants, feelings of stress, eating junk food and dehydration.

Many individuals ignore daytime fatigue and assume it’s normal. But the reality is that it could be a sign of something much worse.

According to the National Institute on Aging, “you may feel tired all the time because of medical problems and treatments, emotions, or even personal habits.” But if you’ve struggled with fatigue lasting over 6 months, talk to your doctor to see if it may be chronic fatigue syndrome.
