Experience

Her spirit of wanderlust has been around since childhood when up she split time between the United States and the remote rainforests of Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula where her family operated an eco-tourism company. Her two great loves have always been travel and writing. After university, Amanda took a job in aviation, so she could see the world and pursue her passion for travel writing. She now works as a writer and editor for a variety of publications and travel blogs and you can find her work on TheTravel, Sandiego.com, and Explore. She is currently co-authoring a book highlighting the best destinations for solo female travelers. Amanda loves writing about unique destinations, wellness travel, and outdoor recreation. When she isn't adventuring, you'll probably find her doing yoga, hanging out with her dog, and searching thrift stores for vintage treasures.
