Watch What Happens When the Fastest Bicycle Ever Takes on a Ferrari

Rocket bicycle breaks a world record reaching 207 mph

Can you imagine reaching the same speed as a car on your bicycle? Now imagine taking on one of the fastest cars in the world. One daring Frenchman did just that, proving a bicycle (powered by a rocket system made with liquid hydrogen peroxide) can not only match the speeds of a Ferrari, but leave it in the dust.

François Gissy, the man on the saddle of this scary-fast bicycle has some serious guts. But as you watch the video, you’ll see that the record-breaking 0-to-60 in 1.1 seconds performance did not even phase him. Reaching a top speed of 207 mph, Gissy hopes to make it to 250mph on his next run.

The bicycle, the Kamikaze 5, was designed by Gissy’s friend Arnold Neracher. It is extremely lightweight and has been completing a series of speed challenges since 2011. Watch as Gissy zooms past a Ferrari and proves that bicycles can be just as powerful modes of transportation.
