Recently, we’ve been bombarded with the dangers that come along with sitting. We’ve even gone so far to call out sitting as the new smoking and just how terrible the sedentary lifestyle can be. The sitting epidemic is upon us, and while we can work hard to prevent extra sitting outside of the office, having a nine-to-five job makes it feel like the chair is unavoidable.

Standing desks are great, but what if you could go one step further. Well, San Francisco artist Robb Godshaw and developer Will Doenlen are here to tell you, “you are not reaching your current productivity potential.” As an alternative to a treadmill desk, Godshaw and Doenlen have developed a Hamster Wheel desk. You might think this is a joke, but the design has been posted on Instructables, the DIY instruction-sharing website, and it can keep you moving at work without added electricity, and at your own pace.
