Megan Taylor Morrison is an assistant editor for The Active Times in New York City.
Megan was born in Fresno, California, just 90 miles from Yosemite National Park. After growing up in the Golden State, she moved to the state of Washington, where she majored in French and international affairs at the University of Puget Sound. While in college and after, Megan lived and worked across the world. She conducted ecological surveys in Kenya, worked in photojournalism for the World Wildlife Fund Madagascar and in communications with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Washington, D.C. Her special interest in environmental and cultural conservation led her to specialize in health, science and environmental reporting at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where she created the first independent study course in conservation journalism.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys African and lindy hop dancing, rock climbing, cycling and eating delicious food. She is currently training for her first century ride and fall climbing trips to the Shawagunk Mountains.
