Two out of every three people report having anxiety about going home for the holidays (65%), according to new data commissioned by personal travel assistant app Mezi. This may be due to the stresses that come with travel. The process of leaving your home and commuting to your destination can be extremely overwhelming.
Money plays a huge factor; traveling during the holiday season will likely put a bigger dent in your pocket. In fact, Mezi found that seventy percent of people who fly home for the holidays spend $500-1000; 20% spend more than $1000. Yijen Liu, VP of Product at travel concierge app Mezi advises to book your trip on “Tuesdays around 3p.m. Eastern time.” This time and day gives you access to the best deals, she says.
