Are you ready for winter thrills and adventures? Do you know the best state for skiing? Apparently, it’s Utah, according to a brand new study outlining the top 10 best skiing destinations in the U.S. Some of the results may come as a surprise – such as four of the 10 resorts on the list being in the Beehive State.

Wanderu, a ground travel metasearch engine and fare aggregator, searched through all the ski resorts in the country to find the top ones nationwide and in every region. You will find the right type of lodging for you whether you’re ready to go the distance to the best skiing destinations or just want the nearest option.

It’s not every mountain that’s a perfect fit for your alone or the whole family. There’s actually a lot to consider beyond the basics.

The ranking is based on the value people will get from an all-day weekend lift pass for the number of trails and the amount of snow they get on an annual basis. But since everyone has their own criteria when choosing what’s best for them, the distance from airports and bus stations, as well as nearby dining and accommodation options, were also included.
