Ski Tip: Glide From Your Ankle

"Whether you're a beginner or novice Nordic skier, don't neglect your glide. As a skier, you need to make sure you are stepping out and committing to that gliding ski. You'll know you're doing it properly when it feels very rhythmic and smooth and your movements should blend nicely. Flexing at the ankle is a very important component of the glide that often gets overlooked. When in doubt, take a clinic, lesson or private from your local Nordic center—these are pros that can help you get to the next level."
