Ready for Whitewater Action? Watch These Guys Take On Class V Rapids in Costa Rica

The "Chorro" section of the Naranjo river gives rafters a bumpy ride

It’s just about that time, the snow will soon melt into rushing rapids and the most daring will take to the U.S. rivers with their paddles. South of the Equator, though, they’re already enjoying some incredible paddling. Watch these guys take on the "Chorro" section of the Naranjo river, which has class IV -V rapids.

According to the video poster, Amigos del Rio, these are some of the most intense rapids in all of Costa Rica. “Exploding whitewater, steep drops, tight rock walls and technical routes will get your adrenaline pumping,” they say—and it certainly looks intense.
