A Rad Family Car

1942 Chevrolet Coupe with 8'0" Skip Frye

“These [next] three cars were a huge part of my life. All three my dad built from the ground up. They're long gone now, but it was special to do these. My dad got this [one] for free as payment for some body work. It was a shell and he turned it into a show winner. We had the yellow ‘42 for about 10 years.”

1956 Chevy Bel Air 2-door hardtop with 5'2" Mabile Mini Simmons

“My dad built this for my mom. It was perfect. The whole family would cruise around in it every Sunday. I still remember the way it smelled. He ended up selling it for like 25-grand to the owner of a Chevy dealership in San Jose. He parked it in the dealership showroom. My mom used to go visit it every once in awhile. It might still be there.”
