These days, it's seems like there's a specific cleaning product for every little space in your house. You need a seperate bottle of cleaner for your windows, kitchen, sink, bathroom, shower, toilet and just about every inch of your home. But buying these specialty products takes a lot of money and space in your cabinets. To help streamline your cleaning routine and save money, consider making your own all-purpose cleaner. It's easier than you may think!

35 Ways to Create a Healthier Home

While you can find all-purpose cleaners at the store, making your own is a quick and easy process. To make your own all-purpose cleaner at home, dissolve 4 tablespoons of baking soda in 1 quart of warm water for a general cleaner. You can also use baking soda on a damp sponge. Baking soda cleans and deodorizes kitchen and bathroom surfaces.

Another way you can make an all-purpose cleaner is by adding half a teaspoon of washing soda, a dab of liquid soap and 2 cups of hot tap water and then combining the ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake the bottle until the washing soda has fully dissolved. To clean a surface, apply the cleaner to a rag or sponge. If you are cleaning tough dirt, leave the cleaner on for a few minutes before wiping it off.

Once you start using these all-purpose cleaners, you'll never look back. In fact, using your own all-purpose cleaner is just one of the ways to save money on cleaning supplies.
