On Days 101 through 105 of this 110-day expedition, the team enters the most dangerous part of the Mississippi River, grimly known as Cancer Alley—where commercial vessels the size of small cities slide silently alongside the team’s diminutive wooden York boat.
The team struggles to find clean campsites amid the refuse and litter lining the banks of the industrial landscape, and battles with nasuea from toxic fumes coming off the water.
This second-to-last episode of the 10-part web series ends in New Orleands, where Brett Rogers explores the infamous network of levees that protect the sub-river-level city.
