Research has shown that only 8 percent of people actually achieve their New Year’s resolutions. Are you going to be an exception or part of the herd?

Maybe you didn’t organize your time efficiently, you set unrealistic goals, or you didn’t anticipate problems and plan for setbacks. It’s normal to hit setbacks along the way; what matters is that you start again and make adjustments.

About half of Americans want to lose weight but only about a quarter are even trying, according to a Gallup poll. The numbers are not that different when it comes to other non-fitness related goals.

The most important trick is to keep reminding yourself that you’re taking care of yourself. No one cares more about your mental and physical health than you. Your body certainly doesn’t care about anybody else.
