Simple things like getting enough sleep can do wonders for your appearance. “At least 7 hours per night reduces bags and swelling under your eyes,” says Ilana Muhlstein, RD, Nutritionist for Explore Cuisine.” You should also stay away from certain foods – fried foods, energy drinks, refined sugar, and soda, to name a few. They have been shown to speed up the aging process. Instead, eat colorful vegetables. “The antioxidants found in pretty veggies protect your skin from pollution and radicals that cause aging,” Muhlstein says.

For instance, massage extra virgin coconut oil under your eyes before going to bed, soak two cotton balls in cold milk and place them under your eyes for a few minutes, or soak a cotton pad in rose water and place them on your closed eyelids.

Take Care of Your Skin

It’s important to properly take care of your skin. This means cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing when applicable. Use eye cream to keep the bags and wrinkles from forming around your eyes and never forget to wear sunscreen when out in the sun. Also, next time you are going through your skincare routine, remember to include your chest and your neck. The skin on your neck and chest is just as delicate as the skin on your face.
