Common sense will tell you that it's a bad idea to swim with great whites, but you're safe in a shark cage...right? Let's put it this way: You are still required to sign a waiver. And this video shows why.

While shark diving off the coast of South Africa on March 21, this group of tourists got more than their money's worth of unadulterated terror when a great white forced its head inside the protective cage. One man was even forced to swim below the animal’s open mouth to avoid a bite. If you watch carefully, you can see the shark flex its jaws before retreating.

The footage was captured by YouTube user Bryan Plummer, who was on the boat at the time.

Great whites grow to an average of 15 feet and are the largest predatory fish in the world. Many live off the coast of South Africa, where shark cage diving is a popular tourist attraction.
