Walmart's best deals on Google Home products

We prefer the speaker system of the Google Home products over the speaker system of the Echo product line.

If you're frustrated by Amazon Prime Day's glitchy website but are still looking to buy, you might want to head over to Walmart for their own great deals going on right now, specifically on Google products that aren't available on Amazon. We've tested both Siri and Alexa devices to find out which is the best for you.

If you've been on the hunt for the right voice assistant and either haven't been enthralled by the Amazon Echo Dot or are turned off by the price of the HomePod, then the Google Home Mini might be for you. It's compatible with many of the same apps and devices as the Echo and is currently on sale on Walmart for just $34. This price rivals most other devices, including those on sale for Amazon's Prime Day.

You should also take advantage of some great bundle options on Walmart. Right now you can buy a Nest thermostat or Nest doorbell and get a free Google Home Mini.

If you're integrated in Google's universe of products then we definitely think the Home Mini is the right pick. You can easily use it to play music, call friends, or check the weather. While the full-sized Home is also a quality choice, we don't think the higher price tag is worth the minimal number of upgrades -- the most significant being the better speaker.

The Amazon Echo device's main edge is they can connect with more smart home devices, so if you're hoping to completely tech-ify your home then it might be the better buy. But if you just want a single voice assistant, the Google Home Mini is our top pick and best deal.
