This automatic cocktail maker uses a mixer capsule and your liquor of choice for one serving of your favorite drink.

Everyone loves to eat, but cooking and food prep is a different story. Luckily, cooking appliances are getting easier to use. So you can make just about any food or drink you want either at home or on the go with ease.

From a self-contained coffee maker to a personal bartender and ovens that cook much faster and more evenly than ever before, these are our favorite new cooking gadgets and appliances for everyone from the clueless home cook to the person who wants the coolest new thing on the market for entertaining friends and family.

1. Cauldryn Coffee

This all-in-one 16 ounce smart travel mug really does it all, whether you want it for coffee or even a smoothie. It's especially useful for outside the home, like camping or travel, as it is vacuum sealed so it won't leak no matter the angle it's held at, and holds its temperature for up to 10 hours.

It does everything all in a solid black vessel - it can even grind your beans and then percolate your java right inside. Its LCD screen lets you set your preferred temperature, from room temperature to boiling (beneficial for sterilization purposes). It connects to Bluetooth and can be controlled via smartphone, too. Fun extra accessories include a lantern with bug zapper, blender, and Bluetooth speaker.

2. Somabar

This automatic cocktail maker uses a mixer capsule and your liquor of choice for one serving of your favorite drink.

It's designed for restaurants that don't have a full liquor license, using wine-based spirits that taste super close to the real deal and are actually preferred by many people. Personally, I am not a traditional margarita fan but liked the one made for me at the demo of Somabar.

3. Gourmia GWCM695 11-in-1 Deluxe Multi-Cooker

If you want a truly smart cooking appliance that does it all, this is it. Nicely designed in a stainless steel finish, this compact cooker will look great on your countertop without taking up a lot of space, or can be stored away if you have a decent-sized cabinet.

Perfect for someone who either doesn't have a lot of cooking savvy, or doesn't want to spend a lot of time and effort on preparing meals, the Gourmia multi-cooker has 11 cooking functions, including roast, bake, slow cook, make yogurt, stew, saute, and even sous vide. It's also WiFi enabled, so you can control it with your smart device via the Gourmia app, and works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. An extra bonus: recipes are included.

This Gourmia product won't be out until later this year but if you're eager to try one of their products then we suggest taking a look at their self-inclosed sous vide, the Gourmia GSV550, for less than $100.

4. Bartesian cocktail maker

Similar to the Somabar, but made for your personal use at home, this passed my whiskey sour test with flying colors.

You insert a mixer capsule, select the strength of the alcohol (whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, or tequila), or choose to omit it for a mocktail, and mere seconds later your drink is ready. It's available for pre-order and costs $299.

5. Breville Smart Oven Pizzaiolo

Homemade pizza that's cooked to perfection in two minutes? Yes. This super-hot 750°F oven takes your freshly prepared pizza and cooks it faster than you can eat it, with a perfectly crispy crust, gooey cheese, and no burn spots.

The Pizzaiolo is only available from select stores and has a hefty price tag but you can get the same Breville quality with their Smart Oven. It doesn't reach the same peak temperatures but is great for a variety of oven-baked dishes.

6. Fromaggio home cheesemaker

If you love cheese and want to try your hand at making your own, this new smart home cheesemaker belongs on your wish list.

It makes just about any kind of cheese you can dream up, from classics like aged cheddar and brie to lactose free, kosher, or vegan cheese. Its LCD touchscreen lets you easily set it up to prepare your cheese, and you can also control it on your smart device via the app.

7. Meat°it® smart cooking thermometer

Even experienced chefs can easily under- or overcook food, especially on the grill where temperatures can fluctuate wildly.

This smart thermometer is completely wireless, and connects to WiFi or Bluetooth. It monitors both internal temperatures of what you're cooking as well as how quickly it is cooking, which you then track on your smartphone or tablet. It promises to gauge an accurate reading within one degree, and can withstand extreme heat and direct contact with flames. You can use it in just about every cooking appliance, from your oven to a smoker or just a basic pan on the stovetop.

8. Thermomix TM5

If cooking is a much-dreaded chore, or you just don't have a knack for cooking from scratch, this is your new best friend.

The Thermomix does it all for you, from kneading dough to weighing ingredients, stirring, controlling the heat, and of course the act of cooking your recipe properly. You can make almost anything in it, and this multi-cooker eliminates the need for numerous counter-crowding appliances, so it's especially great for those with tiny kitchens.

It comes along with your own personal chef, the Cookidoo®, a recipe platform with thousands of recipes for any type of cuisine you want to try out. It's especially helpful for those who entertain a lot and want to spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your guests.
