It is important to write down your goals along with the reasons why you want to achieve them. "Writing down your goals is important and a great reminder to help keep you on track,” Erica Buteau, Lifestyle Consultant, says. “Take it a step further and also write down why you want to achieve each goal. If you keep in mind why something is important to you, you're more likely to stick with it long term."
You can’t make it to the gym? That is one of the most common excuses. “The answer to this is to simply make time by getting up half an hour earlier or staying up half an hour later,” Buteau says. “Then, make a standing appointment in your calendar to prompt you to take the time to exercise between appointments, before work, during your lunch hour - wherever you can fit it in."
Don’t beat yourself up if you fall off track; “forgive yourself, brush off the indiscretions and get right back to it before you plant yourself into a rut," Buteau says.
