There are many reasons why you may be experiencing increased appetite – maybe you have a fast metabolism and your body requires more food, which results in increased hunger; you may be dehydrated, and your brain is confusing thirst for hunger; or you’re not getting enough sleep, which will likely cause your appetite to spike.

Individuals who are obese or overweight have an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes, osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and some cancers.
