Don’t wait until New Year’s Eve to start making fitness resolutions, start toward your goal now


Do you remember last New Year’s Eve? How about the resolutions you made?

Each year, November and December always seem to speed by in a blur of unhealthy holiday food and sedentary traditions and then we’re stuck on New Year’s Eve making promises that we’ll do better this year. We say we’ll start that diet and we’ll join a gym (and actually go)—but the thing is, these are the resolutions we should be making right now—not two months from now.

Gym Membership Discounts
A bargain is a great motivator and after a summer of lousy membership numbers, gyms are willing to do whatever it takes to get people signed up. Gym membership prices are at their peak in January, but if you sign up now you could score a deal and you won’t even have to wait in line for a treadmill.

You Can Still Comfortably Work Out Outside
If you would rather forgo the gym, you’ll love the fact that you can still enjoy the great outdoors comfortably in just one layer (in most places around the U.S.). Come January, you’ll need to be bundled to even attempt an outdoor workout.

Start Now, See Progress By New Year’s
While everyone else will be making resolutions to do better on New Year’s Eve, you will already have made significant progress. Start now, make a conscious effort to navigate the craziness of the holidays and enjoy your success on Dec. 31 instead of making plans to improve.
