Fitness Tip of the Day: Keep Rest Days Under Control

Rest is needed for recovery, but remember to stay in control on your days off

We all need rest days; the days where you aren’t at the gym or aren’t exercising outside. They are pivotal for our bodies to recoup and recharge. 

That being said a rest day doesn’t mean a free-for-all when it comes to nutrition. Many times people think or subconsciously splurge on those days. While I’m all for eating in moderation, if you are trying to lose weight, splurging on your rest days could be the difference between a successful week or not. 

Take your rest days, eat in moderation, enjoy the relaxation, but as with all things nutrition, remember moderation is key!
