Many of us have jobs which cause us to be sitting for extended periods of time. This can lead to terrible posture, tight muscles and back pain.
Of course, you can focus on sitting up straight during your day, but there are a number of other things you can do to help improve your posture.
A good way to improve your posture is by strengthening some of the muscles that get loosened from being stretched all day while we sit. You can strengthen your glutes by doing exercises like lunges and glute kickbacks; you can strengthen your upper and middle back by including lat rows in your workout routine; and you can strengthen your lower back with "supermans."
Lastly, it is a good idea to stretch some of the muscles that have gotten tight due to prolonged sitting. Make sure to stretch your hip flexors and your core as well!
