Fitness Tip of the Day: Strengthen Your Core with a Stability Ball

Almost any exercise can be modified to incorporate the stability ball

We’ve all heard that many people sit on stability balls instead of office chairs in order to strengthen their core. Besides the obvious use as an office chair, the stability ball can be a valuable tool in your workout routine.

The most obvious exercise is the stability ball crunch, but you can also perform dumbbell bench and shoulder press exercises to engage the core and even the smaller muscles within the joints needed to keep you and the weight steady throughout the exercise.

Almost any exercise that you can think of (that doesn’t involve a machine) can be modified to incorporate a stability ball to ramp up the difficulty. Work the core and the rest of your body with a stability ball!
