One of the biggest motivational tools you can employ to keep you on the path to successfully achieving your fitness goals is to take "selfies."
Although you may feel silly taking these pictures of yourself they can really motivate you down the road. Using new and inserting motivational tools that can help highlight your progress will help you to maintain your exercise program, especially when you're struggling.
Take a couple of pictures (front and side view) before beginning your workout routine (or today if you are already on one). Wait at least 4 weeks before taking another set of pictures and compare the two.
Although the scale may not have budged substantially, you may notice that your hips are slimmer, or that your biceps are bigger, or that you don’t slouch as much! Any of those improvements will provide you with a huge dose of motivation to keep on going!
