Fitness Tip of the Day: Sleep to Stay Healthy
Sleep is one of the most overlooked factors when it comes to living a healthy life. We all know that we should stay active everyday and eat plenty of vegetables and quality proteins, but what many people overlook is the importance of a quality night’s rest.
Not only does sleep allow your muscles to recoup and grow, along with helping to improve your cognitive functions, but sleep can also help boost your immune system and therefore fight off disease.
It has even been shown that one of the best natural ways to get over an illness (like the common cold) is to get as much sleep as possible. So make sure you take care of three of the biggest factors when it comes to living a healthy life; staying active, eating healthy, and getting plenty of sleep.
