Fitness Tip of the Day: Skip the Scale
Many people weigh themselves too often. You really aren’t going to change that much over the course of an afternoon or even a day, but still, some people religiously step on that scale.
What usually happens is that you notice that the scale really isn’t budging or that you have gained half a pound (most likely water weight anyway).
This can really get a person down. You need to realize that the scale is only an approximation of gravity's work on you. I’m not saying you should completely disregard your weight, but at least realize that you are more than that number and try not to weigh yourself quite as much.
Try to stick to weighing yourself only once a week or only every other week. If you are exercising and sticking to your nutrition you will see small declines in your few and far between weigh-ins that can really boost your motivation! Small weekly victories add up to huge payoffs!
