Fitness Tip of the Day: Housework Is a Workout
Did you ever realize you can burn some calories while doing housework? You always have things that need to be done around the house, well use that time to add activity to your day!
For instance, working in the garden pulling weeds and shoveling a bunch of dirt can have you burning up to 100 calories in 15 to 20 minutes. Or do you have a room that needs to be painted? Painting and moving furniture around can burn another 100 calories in 20 to 30 minutes.
It all comes down to staying active and performing these chores at a higher intensity. You don’t have to sprint around the room painting, but just take fewer breaks to get the job done faster and burn more calories!
