Fitness Tip of the Day: Find Some Friendly Competition

Those in need of more motivation should try working out with friends

Going for a walk? Going to take a lap around the park? Well, grab a fitness partner next time you head out to work out to help up the motivation factor. Having someone with you can truly be the ultimate motivation that can help push you for that one extra rep or that one extra lap.

After the workout is over your fitness friend will help hold you accountable, like with your nutrition and other healthy habits; we all have a competitive streak in us.

It has even been found that the best way for fitness partners to encourage each other is actually by remaining quite (especially if perceived as more skilled). Strange I know, but research has shown that this can actually be the biggest motivator when it comes to exercising longer.
