Fitness Tip of the Day: Fill Half Of Your Plate With Veggies

Aim to consistently include lots of vegetables in your daily diet

We once did an interview with the nutrition author Jonathan Bailor and one tip he gave us has stuck with me to this day; divide your plate so that half of it is filled with non-starchy vegetables! 

This may seem like the simplest of tips but in reality it can be a game changer for your nutrition.

For starters, it is an incredibly easy tip to remember so hopefully it will become sustainable. Likewise, consuming that many veggies will have you feeling full faster (and staying that way longer) where you won’t want to consume dessert or even snack foods later. Finally, (this goes with the previous reason) you can eat an incredibly large amount of vegetables per volume for a reasonably small amount of calories compared to any other type of food and get more nutrients and vitamins in the process!
