Fitness Tip of the Day: Fill Up on Fiber and Water
This is quite a simple tip, but one that is rarely followed. When you are out on a hike or just out and about in general, it’s always a good idea to fill up on fiber dense foods and water to keep you feeling full for longer and so you don’t have to pack as much with you.
It's recommended that you should drink at least eight, 8-ounce glasses of water a day (although this is not the same for everyone, it’s easy to remember) or take your body weight (in pounds) and divide it by two and drink that many ounces of water a day.
When it comes to fiber, it can provide a long list of amazing health benefits. For example, it can help lower your blood pressure and even lower your cholesterol levels. It's normally suggested that everyone consume at least 14 grams of fiber per 1000 calories consumed per day.
