Fitness Tip of the Day: Eat Fruit to Stay Fit

New research reveals that eating more fruit may decrease your risk for cardiovascular disease

Get this—just by eating a single piece of fruit every single day you can decrease your risk of cardiovascular disease (heart disease and stroke) by as much as 40 percent! 

Recent research that took place in China found that the more fruit the participants ate the more heart-healthy benefits they reaped!

One fruit that has been associated with reducing cardiovascular disease is the kiwi. A 2009 study found that eating 2 to 3 kiwis a day can significantly improve your good cholesterol while decreasing your bad cholesterol; which equated to a decreased risk of heart disease and stroke. It seems that it is true that an apple a day can help keep the doctor away!
