Fitness Tip of the Day: Create an Activity Alarm
Sitting at a desk for 7 to 8 hours a day can get you cramped and just out of shape in general. Humans were not made to sit for such extended periods of time; your core gets “soft”.
One way to combat this is to set a timer on your phone that rings every 60 to 75 minutes (or whatever you feel comfortable with) that reminds you that you need to get up and get moving around, or at least stretch! This timer will not only help remind you to move, but it can also be a great reminder to consume more water!
When we are diligently working the last thing that pops into our mind is to drink more water. This can lead us to become mildly dehydrated. Your timer will tell you to take 10 seconds to drink some water and stand up and stretch!
