This is India’s most remote territory – it’s located more than 620 miles off the east coast in the middle of the Bay of Bengal. Densely covered by deep green tropical forest, the archipelago is home to an abundance of wildlife, including some extremely rare species of bird, according to Rough Guides. The biggest attraction is the beaches and the pristine reefs that ring most of the islands. The Andaman Sea features some of the richest and least spoilt marine reserves in the world.
