Two separate studies say the adult obesity rate in Alabama is 33.5 and 33.6 percent, ranking it fifth and fourth, respectively. Alabama is faring fairly well in the WalletHub ranking. The state is eighth in terms of obesity and overweight and 19th in unhealthy habits.
