This spring, travelers from all over the world will be arriving in central Nebraska for one of the last great animal migrations. This annual migration allows onlookers the opportunity to witness the world’s largest gathering of sandhill cranes — more than 600,000 cranes. Festivals are also in abundance during this time of the year. Head to the Nebraska Prairie Chicken Festival from April 12–14, experience Junkstop at Sycamore Farms from April 26–28 and don’t miss your chance to celebrate Arbor Day on April 26. Popular accommodations include the Burchell Farm House & Inn and Crane Trust Legacy Cottages & VIP Cabins at Wild Rose Ranch.
