In the world of sports the focus is always on bigger and better and this proposed action sports complex is no exception.
Xero Gravity Action Sports plans to open a massive resort and action sports complex in Florida’s Osceola County that will cost an estimated $309-million. The goal is to open the facility by 2018 and they have put down a $50,000 deposit on the 75-acre plot of land, but are still talking with Osceola County officials about incentives and financing, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
If the plans go through, this complex will be the first of its kind. You won’t believe everything they’re planning to include. Some of the highlights are: a 14-story ski and snowboard mountain with synthetic snow that doesn’t require cold, snowtubing lanes, a BMX racetrack, a skateboard park, a dodgeball trampoline arena, two 14-story water slides, a whitewater rafting river, a 140-foot-high rock climbing wall, two sky diving pods and zip lining. The property will also feature a 250-room resort.
Though still in early stages of planning officials plan to host competitions in the facility and might open the complex early for local teams to train. They expect to open to the public everyday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and admission prices will range from $35 to $95.
