Glamorous camping doesn't have to be all about luxury and high-tech design and it can still be rejuvenating and relaxing. Go on an eco-friendly vacation in Cornwall and stay in your own round grass-covered Hobbit House. There is a wood-burning shower, skylight roof and a sauna.

TreeHotel in Sweden

This treehouse hotel is among the most famous in the world because of it futuristic and high-tech design. One of the houses, the Mirror Cube, reflects the surrounding trees; it kind of looks like a spaceship. You may be under it and not actually notice a tree house above your head. Talking about blending...Another tree house is a cabin and a third  looks like a huge bird's nest.

Stuc a’Chroin in Scotland

You will be staying at a Mongolian-style yurt. Consider this glamping spot for a honeymoon as the beautiful Scottish countryside, in the middle of which you'll be staying, makes for the perfect romantic retreat. The yurts have wooden stoves and thick carpets, making you feel cozy and warm, double beds and futons.

Treehouse Lodge in Peru

The treehouses and bungalows here are the only lodge of its kind in the Amazon rainforest. This all-inclusive and luxurious lodge is near the Pacaya Samiria Reserve. Glamping here is great for people who like to explore the jungle, forests, woods, like to go on safaris and excursions. You'll see monkeys and many other animals up close. 

Colibri Camping in Bolivia

Colibri Camping is recommended for couples, families and small groups in general. You can choose to stay in a cabin, tent or a tepee. The camp is in the middle of a stunning mountainside high above the Valley of Flowers, just 30 minutes from La Paz. Go on animal rides, hiking, biking and take special classes in Bolivian cooking. Loisaba Star Bed in Kenya

Two of the tree houses in the resort are a set of a thatch roofed huts with an open-air wall so you can wake up with the beauty of the morning sunrise. You can also catch it just outside the room in your bed, if you prefer, since they have wheels and can be rolled out (which mean you can literally sleep under the stars at night). One person wrote on TripAdvisor: "We have just spent 4 nights at Gorah Elephant Camp in Addo, we have stayed in tents before but these are completely unfenced & therefore very authentic, wild life comes right into the camp at will & there are always animals drinking at the waterhole in front of the lodge."

The Rockwater Tenthouse Suites in British Columbia

If you're looking for peace and serenity, these tenthouse suites may be right for you. You'll be among arbutus trees overlooking Secret Cove. Each suite has a private veranda that provides some amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. Each tent also has a heated slate floor, fireplace and a hydrotherapy bathtub. The windows are huge so it will feel like you're sleeping outside in nature.

Paws Up Resort in Greenough, Montana

Paws Up's Moonlight Camp sits at the foot of Lewis & Clark's famous Lookout Rock and just next to the Blackfoot River. You can stay in a tent or ranch-style houses with heated floors and even butlers. This family-friendly vacation spot has six two-bedroom glamping tents. Guests can rent mountain bikes, play tetherball or use the local soccer fields. If you want something more unusual, go horseback riding, fly fishing or cattle herding.

Ras Al Khaimah in United Arab Emirates

This glamping spot is luxurious, chic and lavish. The camp has 133 white-topped tents on a wood platform located in the Al Wadi Nature Reserve. You'll feel like you're staying at a Nomadic dwelling. Each tent is between 1,700 and 2,700 feet. You get a private deck with beds and a pool. Go on an excursion and ride a horse or a camel in the desert.

Bespoke Hideaways - Discovery Bedu in Jordan

You don't have to choose between glamping in the mountain or the desert, you get both. The location is ideal for family camping. Favorite activities include stargazing, guided and off-road tours, as well as animal rides and camel treks for an hour in the desert.
