Everyone loves a good deal, which is why you see sales advertised on TV each night, “special discount” signs hanging in stores each day and ski resorts offering low rates on select days. At a time when skiing and snowboarding has become pretty expensive, lower rates are always a good sign, even when they are limited to certain days.
Then there are those few classic resorts that believe a whole family should be able to afford to get on the mountain any day of the season. Some of these mountains are on the smaller side but offer enough terrain to keep any skier or rider busy. Situated throughout the country, these mountains prove that anyone can have fun on the slopes without spending a fortune.
From the East to the West, we’ve rounded up 11 mountains with low lift ticket prices and a whole lot of value.

This mountain may be on the smaller side with just 360 feet of vertical and around 40 acres of skiable terrain, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in price and charm. These slopes are known for their friendly volunteers who are usually on hand to show you around or give you a quick lesson and you can't beat the price.
Adult lift ticket: $20 weekdays; $42 weekends
With 500 feet of vertical and 160 skiable acres, Pine Mountain is a local favorite. Its also the only mountain in the Upper Peninsula where two kids (12 and under) can ski free with the purchase of one adult lift ticket.
