When you think of the world’s most dangerous animals, large predators like the great white shark and Siberian tiger usually come to mind. While yes, they can kill you, you may be surprised to know that some of the world’s smallest creatures are actually the deadliest.
They are sometimes the ones that look the most innocent. For instance, fleas are annoying, tiny insects but just one bite from them can lead to infection and diseases, the black plague being one of them – it has killed approximately 25 million people. Spiders, such as the Brown Recluse Spider, and even frogs, mainly the Poison Dart Frog, are also extremely dangerous animals to look out for.
It’s important to take precaution especially when visiting specific destinations like Australia or the Amazon Rainforest. The Amazonian wildlife, one of the main reasons why people visit the region, present serious threats. Watch out for the green anaconda, bullet ant and Brazilian Wandering Spider.
