San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua

A lesser-known traveler’s gem, Nicaragua isn’t necessarily a secret but it is an amazing destination for those on a tight budget that’s often overlooked. The Latin American nation has tons to offer adventurous spring breakers—from volcano boarding on Cerro Negro to surfing in San Juan del Sur and then partying at night, Nicaragua has tons to do for very little money.

South Padre Island, Texas

This barrier island in Texas is a top spring break spot for students looking to save some money while still having an amazing experience. Home to crazy cheap hotel rates (some advertised rates are as low as $39 per person, per night) and some of the biggest parties in the U.S. (MTV Real World Entourage Party, pool parties at the Isla Grand and bashes with celebrity appearances) this spring break spot offers some amazing parties without breaking the bank.

Montreal, Quebec

Though most people typically associate spring break with a trip down south, heading up north to Montreal can make for an amazing and affordable break. The city is home to more than 300 bars and clubs—many of which are hosting spring break parties. Though lodging can get expensive in Montreal, there are still great deals to be found—especially when you share a room with friends and split the cost. There is no shortage of things to do in Montreal, from partying to taking in the culture, your spring break will be anything but boring.

Panama City Beach, Florida

Home to the largest nightclub in North America and nicknamed “The Spring Break Capitol of the World”, Panama City Beach is a spring breakers dream. Add to that some seriously discounted hotel rates and deals on club entrances and it’s no wonder why Panama City Beach is considered a top spring break spot.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

From a snorkeling party cruise boat to the Imagine nightclub set inside a cave system, Punta Cana has some amazing spring break features and visiting doesn’t have to be expensive. Many of the resorts in the area are all-inclusive, and while that might sound expensive, you’ll know exactly what the trip will cost ahead of time. On top of the many resort options, flying into Punta Cana is incredibly easy—there are several non-stop flights landing at Punta Cana International Airport each day.

Playa del Carmen, Mexico

This costal area on the southeastern tip of Mexico has been gaining notoriety in the past few years. From stunning beaches to wild nightlife, the area has been building up tourism—the improvements (and deals) have attracted a young crowd. Even the top tier hotels in the area offer reasonable rates and travel from the Cancun airport is quick and cheap. Lounge on Mamitas beach, hop on the bike bar tour called Beercicleta and stop in a lively club on 12th Street. There’s a ton to do in this awesome beach town and you won’t have to spend a ton.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

This established spring break hotspot is a major hit with students on the east coast. Great beaches, food and parties round out a few of the reasons to visit and the deals on hotels are also a major draw. Senior Frogs, Club Boca and Malibu’s Surf Bar are just a few of the nightlife options and with dozens of hotels offering deals finding a cheap place to stay is not a problem.

Rincon, Puerto Rico

This incredible surf spot is also a great spring break destination where you can get by without spending a ton. In addition to hotels and resorts, Rincon has some great apartments, condos and guest houses for rent, which can help you save. The dining and drinking options are also affordable and tasty.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Montego Bay has been a top spring break destination for years and 2015 will be no exception. The gorgeous Jamaican spot may look expensive, but there are plenty of options to help you keep the cost down. Some hotels in the area offer discounts and the food and drink in the area is reasonably priced as well.
