The amount of races to choose from could make anyone's head spin. For 2013, Running USA estimated that there were over 28,000 running events in the U.S. alone. Thinking of traveling internationally for your next athletic endeavor? Well your pool of choices just got a whole lot bigger.

Luckily, factors like how far you care to travel, what type of atmosphere you're looking for and of course, your budget will help narrow down that list a bit.
